THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE

Hi all!

You ALL should be able to access your homework now. I think the problem for some of you is the number of assignments that show up now. You need to go to the bottom where you see a link labeled "see all assignments" and click it.

CHECK YOUR ASSIGNMENT PAGE ON MASTERING BIOLOGY. DON'T MISS ANY ASSINGMENTS! (I also plsted them here on the blog about 2 posts back...)

Regular bio will review chapters 2 and 3, then take the 2/3 test this week. Thursday and Friday we will spend some time on organelles and how they work, particularly the ENDOMEMBRANE SYSTEM.
BIOLOGY:
TUES-- the 4 levels of protein structure; discuss lab
WED-- review chapters 2, 3
THUR-- test chapters 2, 3
FRI-- welcome to the cell! LAB: Cell size and surface area! MB HW due TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT.

MON-- organelle party

AP people, we'll move fast through the organelles (I mean, like a day or two on all of them) and get right to cell functions-- osmosis, diffusion, and enzymes. We'll do AP LAB 1 on Thursday. I've re-written it to be more cool and more fun. ALSO... I've created a lab that teaches you how to write a lab report. We'll learn it on AP Lab 1, then you'll write your first lab report for AP Lab 2 the following week.

AP BIOLOGY:
TUE discussion of endomembrane system. Begin Eggshell Dissolution to prep for Thursday.
WED more on the endomembrane system; organelles of protein synthesis.
THUR-- EARLY MORNING DAY. AP Lab 1, parts A and B. DO NOT BE LATE!!
FRI-- discuss lab results for AP Lab 1. Osmosis and diffusion; membrane connections.
